We start equipping your caravan with a chassis + body weight of 470 kg, using the lightness advantage of the monoblock fiberglass body. If you make reasonable choices by following our instructions especially for heavy optional equipment such as solar energy system batteries, we undertake to deliver your caravan not exceeding 750 kg.
The legislation on this subject currently includes a gap for class O1 (under 750 kg) caravans and this works in favor of caravan users; however, a small change may cause caravans exceeding the weight limit to become unusable.
For example, the net weight limit for O1 certification of manufacturing companies is 750 kg but there is no control over this in practice yet, even if there was, in the measurements included in the REGULATION ON MEASUREMENTS AND PROCEDURES FOR LOADING VEHICLES AND WEIGHT AND DIMENSIONAL MEASUREMENT TOLERANCES published in the official gazette dated 8 NOVEMBER 2012 and numbered 28461
ARTICLE 7 – (1) Weight tolerance; is accepted as at most [(3.75% of the maximum weight of the vehicle) + 500] kilograms. According to this article, there is a weighing tolerance of (750 x %3.75) + 500 = 528.125 kg, which is quite unreasonable for a vehicle whose maximum walking weight must be 750 kg. Therefore, acting comfortably by relying on this article, which is likely to change, may render your caravan unusable in a short time. Because our legislation does not allow a caravan manufactured in class O1 to be converted to class O2 in the event of any non-compliance.
In addition, the following articles are also binding:
Article 6 - j) Vehicles used for the transport of passengers and goods are obliged to use winter tires between December 1 and April 1 of each year. If weather conditions require, the period in question may be increased by 1 month by the Ministry.
Article 6 - (6) If the maximum loaded weight is exceeded by more than 20%, the vehicle will not be allowed to continue on the road by those in charge of inspection unless the excess load is brought into compliance with Article 65, paragraph 1, subparagraph (b) of the Highway Traffic Law No. 2918.
Application of dimension measurement tolerance
ARTICLE 8 – (1) Dimension measurement tolerance is accepted as 2% of the dimensions (width-height-length) of the vehicles specified in Article 5 at most.
